#supersunday provides another TREBLE at Exeter

13 February 2018

To top of the weekend we had 6 runners at Exeter at their #supersunday meeting.

Golden Sunrise and Mount Rushmoore in the opener providing us with a 1-2 both big, gorgeous looking chasers in the making who handled the track and conditions very well. Golden Sunrise deserved to get his head in front for Garth & Anne Broom after some pleasing placed efforts earlier in the season and we were delighted with Mount Rushmoore who was making his hurdle debut for us, if he hadn't hung left towards the paddock entrance up the run in it might have been a different result for Jenny Perry & Celia Goaman.

Vision Des Flos provided us with a quick fire double landing the Listed Novices' Hurdle for the Potts Family under Tom Scudamore. He travelled and jumped brilliantly throughout to win very comfortably. The media thought that the soft palette cautery and first time tongue tie was the reason and they maybe right, but we also believe that the horse is just coming to himself and after this performance we are looking forward to the spring festivals with him.

Elegant Escape not seen since finishing 2nd to Black Corton in the Grade 1 Kauto Star Novices' Chase at Kempton on Boxing Day had plenty in hand of his three rivals to win the graduation chase under Tom O'Brien. This big, scopey 6yo is just getting better and better over fences for owner John Romans.
